We continued our study of forces this week, this time by considering some of the forces involved in designing a bridge (as an activity your child designed and tested their own bridge made of paper).   Students could only use 2 sheets of paper to try to make their bridge the strongest bridge in the classroom.  The winning bridge held 34 pennies and 12 quarters!

Tom Pease came to visit us today!  We had so much fun singing and dancing to silly songs.  He even came to visit our classroom personally.  What a special day!

Here is the song we wrote...

We are learning about plants and animals in science.  The students "planted" a lima bean seed and watched it germinate into a young plant.  They were SO excited to see the growing process!  They definitely have a green thumb!
